The need for agriculture extension reforms has been explicity raised in the national agriculture policy. Under this policy one of the scheme is "Support to state extension programme for extension reforms." During the last decade a number of extension tools have been tried for increasing farmers' involvement in Government schemes of extension and research. The ultimate object of both research and extension system is to increase agricultural production.
